If you are particularly concerned about your mental health, we like to remind the people of Sheffield about the self-referral service called Sheffield Talking Therapies. The website has self-help advice but also a self-referral option. Alternatively, you can call them on 0114 2264380. There is also advice for what to do if you are in a crisis.
You can also speak to your GP about your mental health – medication and/or counselling may help but you doctor will know the best route for you.
Medication for low mood and depression. Anti-depressants can help improve low moods, motivation, sleep and can reduce negative thinking patterns. More information on medications for depression can be found here.
