Dealing with a Ganglion

For many people the issue is more of an annoyance as it does not stop them doing the things they need to.   

You are encouraged to continue using the hand and wrist as normal.  

Most cases will simply get better with time.  There are no long term issues from leaving them untreated. 

If the area is giving you pain or getting bigger over time then seek further assessment via your local GP practice.  They have close links with the specialist hand unit in Sheffield.  Technically cyst can be operated upon but this is not the standard approach – please see the British surgical society for more details.
